Nope, didn't see that one, but had a great time yesterday driving from Honda dealer to Honda dealer here in northern Illinois, in search of an oil filter. Went to one of the first Honda dealers in this area, and they had a perfectly restored orange 72 Z600 in the showroom! They saw the N600 I was driving out in the lot, and the elderly owner of the dealership (Pauly Honda, in Libertyville, Illinois) came out, and we struck up a conversation. He told me that Honda has a policy that the dealer must destroy all of the "obsolete" parts from their shelves, so they no longer stock and of the parts of the old 600s. Too bad!
I learned while living in Japan years ago that the car companies there really practice "planned obsolesence"!!!
Anyway, is there anybody out there that can point me to a new oil filter? Or can I go to the Honda bike shop and get one there? Is there a part number available that I can cross reference?

If my memory serves me correctly, I used to substitute an oil filter
from a Honda 750-4 motor cycle engine that I got a the Honda motor
cycle shop next to the car dealer. Seems that the points/condenser
and a few other parts were interchangable. Not sure if you can still
get those but it is worth a shot.

Kraig,I tried alternatives and there are no0ne to my knowledge. Find
an auto parts store that can order WIX filters. This is one of the
best filter companies in the world. Ask for WIX# 51332. riceburner006
