door window channel felt installation

I am installing new door window channel felt for my Coupe.  I see that I may have to remove the window to install the felt strip, but it would be nice to avoid that.  Trying to simply slide the felt between the window and the doorframe (down inside the door) doesn't work very well, I get a few inches before it jams up.
Any advice here?  Anyone done this project before?
If the window and/or other hardware needs to come out, is there a "right" way or sequence to do it?  The Haynes book and the "big blue" book seem to favor the sedan in their descriptions.  Are there any tricks for sliding the felt in past the window, without removing it?

Well, never mind.  After writing the note below went back and found that if I installed a few inches of the window channel felt down into the "back" side of the door, then reached in through the door frame, I could pull the felt down to the bottom of the frame, a little at a time, using needlenose pliers.  As for the shorter "front" side, there was some old felt remaining, so I just left most of it in place, and cut it off an inch or two below the top of the door, so that the new stuff only had to fit into that inch or two.
It's nice to be able to close the door and not rattle the glass!  The new felt is not glued in at all; it seems to be staying put without it.  I don't think the original felt had any glue - unless it dried up ages ago.
This project revealed another door-glass issue.  the glass "rocks" within the frame - I had thought it had to do with the lack of most of the felt around the frame, but in fact it seems to have to do with worn rollers within the regulator.    I do not see the roller listed separately on the torrington honda page...http://tinyurl.com/srd9  Is there a solution for this?
