Dear Bill
You are right when saying it could be a local or custom shop thing, probably applied just for Japan, but that is just my thought. I just saw those emblems actually in a couple sites displaying a brochure and wondered about it.
I saw it again with this good fellow that just joined in. Check the brochure!!
