I would seriously look at the effects of electricity causing the rusting process to work faster on your car than outers in your area. It sounds more like bimatalic corrosion than just salt on the streets. Washing weekly should keep things clean enough. I know lots of folks in Minnesota (a salt on the street state) who have had cars live on for many years with simple washings. Are you using a plastic tray for your batteries? is the engine/electric motor grounded to the frame or is all of the wiring double wired?
