Hi! I am looking for air filters and fuel filters for my 1972 Honda
Coupe. I am new to this group, but a long time owner of a Honda. I
bought it new in 1972 near San Francisco and drove it for 20 years,
88,000 miles. It was always fairly well maintained. I put it on
blocks in my garage in about 1992, and drove it very rarely after
that. Two weeks ago I rolled it down the street to my auto mechanic.
He has it running and says it drives remarkable well. He is going to
give it a once over, then it has a little rust to be dealt with.
I may need an ignition coil too.
I also need the Honda emblem for the hood. How it went missing is a
real mystery.
Air & Fuel Filters
Re: Air & Fuel Filters
The fuel filter is available at Kragens. Same filter as early civics. Air filters are a little trickier. Ebay or someone from this list may sell one.
Coils are not too difficult to get, but try testing yours first, if your mechanic doesn't know how, find a new mechanic.
Coupe hood emblem is going to be a tad more difficult, cost depends on conditon, start watching ebay.
Everyone within driving distance of San Francisco is invited to the 23rd (or so) annual Arcane Auto Society Annual Business Meeting on 4/27. See the webpage for details.
