This add has been up a few times before. Just think you could trade a cage for a basket!!! I've looked at a few that people have tried to put rag tops in due to the roofs rusting out. There is a green one down in Fresno area that looked good in the pictures but was a mess and the DMV was even more of a mess.

i have two z600s, ones in pretty rough shape. Ive never seen an N600 close up. I like everything behind the front fenders. Wonder if anyone has ever put a z600 front clip on an N600? or is that just to far out?

Looks like the factory sliding roof. The headliner is sheet plastic, and it uses the door handle as the slider latch. So yes, its original, not a owner installation. IMHO, that's the rarest of options for our cars.
This should be saved.

Honda sold a soft top insert in kit form (like the one on craigslist). None that I know of came from the factory fitted with one. Does that mean that none were ever built that way? Hay, anything can happen but it was essentially a dealer add on. Several years back a full kit came up for sale but I have never seen a completed functional installed kit.
However; in the Jan 2012 issue of Automobile on page 93 is a Honda 600 Coupe modified which sold for $8,250.00 Chassis number AZXXX-XXX-XXXX, which makes is a Nov 1971 car.
Their detailed over view of the Coupe is:
"Orange with black vinyl top over black vinyl. 36-hp, 598-cc two-cylinder, 4 speed manual.
Plenty of orange peel in the orange paint. Plexiglass windshield is not original, side and rear glass is, well, glass. Side exhaust appears motorcycle-sourced. Clean interior.
If you were looking to buy a heavily modified Honda 600 in the worst way, perhaps this was it. Just five years ago, this 600 likely would have been rejected from your local pick-a-part; now it is quite collectible. If a great one is worth $20,000.00, this was no bargain at $8250.00."
Check it out!
