About six months ago i made a road trip and acquired a honda Z600 body shell. its just the shell completely picked clean but i got it because it has very little rust. I have another Z but the body was really rough on it so the plan is to pull all the stuff and put it on this other body shell. Ive gone thru the shell with a black marker to locate all the dents and imperfections on it(the car is orange and them black circles stand out like a sore thumb now). This shell doesnt have much rust but its sure full of little dents. Excpecially all over the roof. I didnt really want to touch the body till i had a game plan so its possible i may replace the roof with another one if i have to. But first i want to try something and i just wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone else has heard of this or if it works. I cant remember if ive posted on this or not but I saw it on a Youtube video and it looked too good to be true and You never know so just thought id ask. Its for small dents or if You have dents similar to hail damage or a slightly bigger. They took a heat gun and moved it slowly in a circular motion around the high spot of the dent. Then immediately sprayed it with a can of compressed air and the dent popped like it had never been there. Im going to get a stud welder from Harbor Freight so thats my ace in the hole on this thing but just wanted to see if anyone has tried that heating then extreme cooling thing as a way to pop dents.
