All the products brought up will work, but you have to think about how long from the time you put it together and when you want to start it. Cure times differ and the directions on the product will give you an idea of when the engine can be started.

For what its worth, I went to the Honda Dealer and bought a tube of their case sealant. The tech even gave me the tips and tricks for applying it.

Oil filter
For those of you who think $20+ is too much to pay for an oil filter, I just finished installing a Fram CH6008 for $6 off ebay! The overall dimensions are the same The only difference is that the side that faces the block is not flush like the OEM it's recessed like the cap side of the filter but well above the holes that port oilt to the block, not to mention the filter is spring loaded to that side so filter bypass should not be an issue. The cap side is also recessed like the OEM meaning you still have filter bypass if your filter element becomes too dirty. It fit fine and is running without leaks. If you don't hear from me it means it's still running as advertised. Hope this helps some of you out there looking for an economical alternative.

Re: Oil filter
Gabe, good info. I heard fram had a filter that would work from a guy in Chicago. He has been running them for years. I have a bunch of stock ones so I haven't needed one yet.
