muffler for Honda 600

Hello,
Does anyone have information about replacement. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I just found a 16" glass pack looking muffler that has a double pass thru, so it's NOT a glass pack, 1.5" in and out, very well made, for $ 37.
I will post a picture . It will fit a Honda 600 perfect

Ok starter took a dump. It just clicks. I pulled it out and bench tested it and it needs to be rebuilt or just replaced.  It there a after market one I can just go buy or order or do I need to just send it off to be rebuilt?

I take mine in to get rebuilt, you can try to take it apart and clean it up.

Hi Kurt;
    I use a shop here in San Diego with excellent results all the time.  But remember to always ask them to rebuild your bendex, because there is bad information out there saying that a Datsun 510 starter bendex will work, and it won't.

Hi Kurt,
    If you are mechanically inclined,  you could check out the starter a little deeper. With the starter out of the car,  do the following;
1.  connect a battery (or charger which can deliver 150 ampts) to the starter casing (negative) and the solenoid terminal which goes to the starter motor.  If the starter motor turns rapidly and doesn't drag your battery voltage down,  the motor is probably ok.
2. connect a battery (or charger which can deliver 150 ampts) to the starter casing (negative) and the solenoid terminal which normally goes to the positive battery terminal when in the car.  If you make contact between the battery positive and the tab above the 2 solenoid contact bolts,  the solenoid should click and the starter motor should turn rapidly.   If all you hear is a click (which is what you have described in your msg), then you have a problem with the solenoid.
The solenoid is repairable.  If you take off the back section where you see the 2 terminals, you will find the copper contact bar is dirty and pitted.  You can repair it by cleaning it with a wire brush and file.
And if it is too badly damaged,  you can silver-solder a new copper piece at the contact bar.  I used to use a copper penny (made of real copper) to repair the solenoid.  But you may have a problem finding a genuine copper penny.   You would need to find a one cent coin minted prior to 1982 if you want copper.   After 1982,  it became copper-clad zinc.
And if you decide to not do the work yourself,  you could have just the appropriate section repaired.   I think Miles sells the brushes for the starter motor.  And maybe that 600 parts site offers them, too.   Or you can pick them up from a place which rebuilds electric motors.

Ok so the solenoid must have been rebuilt 35+ years ago because it was all gummed up with what I would guess was at one time a lube,grease, or a heat sink compound? now it was more like play dough.  This car when I rescued it a couple years back had been in a warehouse sitting for 35 years.  Everything has been rebuilt or replaced now on this car. I just rebuilt the motor completely so I guess all the new heat from the motor broke it loose and it started to get in the way of the contacts.  Seems to be working like a champ now. I will see if I can get a little more life out of it before I have a professional rebuild it.
Bill---- I did give Broadway electric a call and they gave me a quote of $150ish + shipping for it to be completely rebuilt.  They put someone on the phone with me that knew about the 600's and said that's $150 was worst case if they needed to replace all the parts.   Thank you for the contact and everyone should add them to your contacts unless you have a local contact.
