The old Honda and the new Honda together!
It still amazes me how well the small honda was made back then. So, as any Honda fan, I was dissapointed when Honda did not tried to produce the small car again that loks soo good and resembles the N so much, but rather went with a small four door that looks like a daihatsu instead (the N-one)
Because Honda was capable of making a car when they were unknown in the car market, making it that small back in the 70s with a 360 cc or 600cc motor and even invented their own automatic transmission for a small car ever. How come being a big name now, with better technology, even more practical on ecological motors, they go the other way saying the car would not go to be produced because it is too small for fitting a motor and for that reason the model was electric? still puzzles me.
Something very much like that happened when many electric Hondas were destroyed in California back in the 80s but some people fought back and kept the cars and they still run today with very few issues.
Thank God the old hondas are in good hands with you all. that is the reason I do appreciate so much what you do.

Do you know when this picture was taken? Is the "new" model something in the planning stages or one only being offered in Japan? What is it called? You mentioned batteries, is this a bettery only concept car. Would love to read more about this "new" car, is there any website out there that gives a complete description? In order to meet todays safety requirments, I can understand the larger size. TKS

Hi there, This picture is truly great! Thanks for posting. It features the Honda Concept car that debuted at the Tokyo Auto Show in 2009. Unfortunately, it never came to fruition, but instead was changed and transformed to the currently for sale in Japan only "Honda N-One" There has been lots written about this car, including its three cylinder fuel-efficent engine. Who knows, maybe as they become available, we can do an engine swap with one! from one 600 to the next!

It really is, as you say it was sadly only a concept car but it was turned into the N-one. I will look to find the website where I got it.
