1972 AZ600 for sale near Seattle

1972 Honda AZ600 coupe, 2 door, man trans, 2 cyl 600 cc motor, runs and shifts great, I have driven it up to 75 MPH and it was a hoot! Body very straight and freshly painted bright Honda Yellow, hood needs bond removed from old stress crack repair. No body or frame rust! Glass is perfect. The exhaust system has been replaced from the manifold flange back, with new pipe and a Coleman RV genset muffler, and it's very quiet. The brake master cylinder was rebuilt and the sleeve was not pitted. The interior is still disassembled from painting and can easily be bolted and snapped back together. The odometer shows 04,965 so I gotta figure it's got 104,965 miles on it if it's the original speedo. This AZ600 is a perfect candidate for a commuter or collector car. This car is also an excellent candidate for Electric Vehicle conversion. These are going for $7000+ after they have been restored and this one is not that far away. This car is flat fun to drive and quite the head turner. It's in pretty good shape for it's vintage! Has current collector car plates and a clear title. The car will come with Factory workshop manuals and aftermarket manuals, along with a few spare parts.

I'm sure it's possible, but it's not very easy considering the small amount of space under the hood, and the extreme difficulty of mounting any transmission other than the original one.

Electric motors are soon to be a thing of the past. This is the new Wheel Hub Motor, and with 4 of these on the AZ600, it will become a powerhouse. Imagine 4 wheel drive!

Hooking these up to the rear wheels would be cake, but making them work with the front spindles will require some design and machining effort.
I thought about putting just two on the rear for a "hybrid" AZ600. Do the math and I'll bet you'll get about a 20 horsepower gain.
Would like to see some one do this soon on a 600. Just Google "wheel hub motors" and there are a lot of different combinations available and some quite affordable.

That's awesome.  I didn't wheel hub motors had gotten to be so powerful.  That would be really nice to eliminate the transmission all together, but you're right about the difficulty of installation.  Your own personal machine shop would be a must-have for this.  Thank you,  BB.
