Yes the fan belt can be replaced without pulling the engine.  Once you get the belt around the fan pulley, be sure to keep tension on it to keep it in place as you negotiate the other pulleys.

We just started working on our N600. It seems battery acid leaked on the pulleys and the alternator bearing. Is it possible to pull the alternator as well as replace the fan belt without pulling the motor? The car started but had to be shut down immediately.
