I gave up and went to the Chevy Parts counter and bought M10 X 1.00 X 30mm studs and M10 X 1.00 x 30mm lugnuts (for a GEO). You have to pull the drums and drive the studs out.  Double nut the end and they drive right out, then pull the new ones through with M10 X 1.00 nuts.  They drive out and pull through fairly easily.  I didn't even have to use any rust buster.  The front studs drive out the same way but you don't have to pull the front hubs off.  Oh yeah.  Take a whole lot of $$ with you because the lug nuts are expensive.  The parts man felt sorry for me and gave me the wholesale price.  If you can find a wrecked GEO you can save some money.

I used to sell the set of 16 studs & 16 chrome acorns for Geo, price
was $95.00 for all, the purpose here was that the Honda 600 Coupe
nuts were like $12.00ea saving my customers $100.00. Good idea on the
wrecking yard, there's a yard here that has 6 Metro's.
