When I went to reassemble the front brakes the other day, I had a whole bunch of little pins, plates, and tension wires. I did the bad thing of taking the set up apart a few months ago, and not making notes of where it all went. So I dug around in my spare parts tubs and found a few complete calipers with the pads still in place. But, one unit had a long spring on only one of the pins that hold the pads in place. It is positioned between the to pads. Did I miss something when I put my rebuilt unit back together? I had kept all the parts in a sealed container, and have not see this on any of the other five that I have.
Also, on the rear brake lines, only one side has a bleeder valve that connects to both rear brakes. I think that that is a bit strange, but seems to be how the car is set up. Anyone see a problem with splitting them up so each side can be bled separate?
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Brake reassembley
Jason,
There's an exploded diagram of the front brakes (from the coupe
factory service manual) on my Honda 600 website - you'll find it on
this page
http://www.honda600source.com/technical.htm
Hopefully that may help get parts out of the coffee cans. I'm not
qualified to answer the rear bleeder question, altho that is the way
Honda built them.

Re: Brake reassembley
Thanks for the info, I didn't see the spring that I was talking about in the diagram. That is a good thing I guess!
