heavy gas smell just developed

Hi,
Please help. I filled the gas tank the last week, drove around a
bit and parked my sedan in the driveway. Now a week later, there's
a heavy gas smell coming from underneath the car. Darn dangerous
fumes here. Any idea where I might have sprung a leak? and how to
fix?

There's a vent hose at top of tank that could be leaking,or there is
a hole in tank! Iether case you have to drop the tank!

Sedan or Coupe?
If Sedan:
a. The vent tube loops up into body behind the driver. Sometimes gas
fumes enter the car interior.
b. rock car vigorously and look for leaks.
c. it could be the vent tube on top of tank.
d. rotten fuel feed line to steel tube.
e. leaky filler tube, buy a new one. Mike O has one maybe.

Coupe or Sedan? The Coupe gas filter and pump is under the back seat. Pull
the seat up from the back.

Thanks for all the responses. I have a sedan and just taking a
quick look under the car before leaving for work this morning, it
seems wet with gas right behind driver's side front wheel underneath
the car. Will be doing a full inspection this weekend.
