Re: [anzhonda600owners] Name that part #6

This is another one of the parts that once I said no, the answer is wrong,
the correct answer is given away. Larry is 100% correct. The Speedometer
gear shown is for the Constant transmission gearing. And the picture was
taken so you can tell. 15 teeth for the Constant and 16 for the full
synchro transmission. This is why the some owners trying to put the best
part in often replace a constant gear for a full synchro transmission
speedometer gear. Which makes the speedometer say your going up to 15 miles
per hour faster at red line in forth gear in a Coupe or Sedan with a 15
series engine. Yet in the coupe because it has a tach installed, the RPM's
stay the same. Or indicating that your really only doing 75 mph. Which at
red line is all the Honda 600 is geared to do. So, Larryn600 has 4 correct
answers, winning the First Name That Part contest. And he will receive the
engine compartment emblem set of his choice.
Congratulations, and contact me with your mailing address.
Tonight we will start a new Name That Part. And, Larry since you have
already won your out of the running for this next contest. For members of
the 2cylinderhondas@yahoogroups.com, you will have to join the
anzhonda600owners@yahoogroups.com, group to view the part on that home page.
New parts will appear each day at 9PM PST, unless, like this last part some
extra tips were needed to inspire an extra effort. The anzhonda600owners
yahoo group member who is the first to get 4 correct answers will receive a
set of my engine labels.

Thanks Bill, and all involved in the competition! My snail mail address
is : Larry Cooley, 2422 Vanderbilt Lane, Redondo Beach, Cal. 90278
I need a Sedan Sticker Set for my 1970 ( registered 1971 by the almighty
DMV) Sedan... Being a 1970, there is no "summer/winter" lever on my air
cleaner snorkel, so I only need 3 Decals for mine!!
Thanks again, and lets see more of you involved in the upcoming contests
... If I can win, so can YOU!!!

And, for anyone who missed seeing the previous 6 parts from the first
contest can view them at In the anzhonda600owners Yahoo group, in the photo
file, then go to the folder named "Yahoo! Photo Album" All the Home Page
pictures are there. Pictures numbered 17 through 22 are the pictures used in
the "Name That Part" contest.
