I agree with Bill, powder coating is the best way to go on your wheels. Kumho 145-10 tires also.

I just picked up a new air box for my n600... it actually has the full duct on it and the valve for the hot air feed tube. I looked under my hood when I got back and I cannot see where the hot air feed tube attaches. I know it is supposed to attach somewhere near the blower motor, but that's about it.
Is it possible that I'm missing the piece that blows air into the air box through the hot air feed tube? If so, does anyone have a picture so that I can check in my box of parts?
If my post is a little vague I am talking about the hot air feed tube on page 14-19 of the Helms manual in illustration 14B-1. I need to know from where the hot air comes and what the part looks like where it is coming from.
If you can point me to page numbers in this manual I'd also appreciate it.

There was 2 different air boxes. The early has a round tube at the
bottom near the *in* and that tube is a short elbow that attaches
directly to the fan housing and if you have the correct fan housing
to match it will also have a round hookup on the side.
The later has a flapper valve built into the airbox housing as a
Carb Pre Heater and it says Summer/Winter and if you live in
California, I'd skip even using it. But you still want to hook up
your tube to the bottom then it goes to the exhaust manifold - the
3rd one back. The tube is about 20" long and runs under the carb.
If you have mixed parts, you won't be able to hook up the hoses to
correct locations.
I should have some of each of the hoses, if you contact me *off
list*, will be happy to help you out.

I've attached 3 pictures to this message. They should give you an idea of what I'm dealing with.
The first picture is near the blower motor, where I saw another n600's air feed tube connect to. This is where I'm assuming the tube attaches to the exhaust manifold.
The second picture is near the air box. As you can see it was either damaged or cut along the way as it is very short. You can also see the fan housing. I am unsure if the fan housing is complete or not.
The third picture is the new air box I picked up yesterday. It is obviously the later style with the summer and winter switch.

Hi Matt;
Your car is a pre April 1971 Sedan.
The first picture shows the heater duct (rubber tube) going from the fan motor to the heat exchanger is on backward, the spark plug wire is routed wrong, it should be going across the front of the engine to the drivers side sparkplug passing through he wire loop attached to the engine.
    The second picture shows the Air Box has the horn cut off and the coil mounted wrong, the coil should be mounted to the under side of the front cross bar to the engine compartment. ( by the screen to the passenger side of the push bar to open the hood).   The fan is for a Sedan manufactured after April 1971.   And you are missing the air box to valve cover hose, it's a 3/8 inch vacuum hose with two small wire clamps at each end. And, the 65amp fuse box is loose, it should be attached to the side wall of the engine compartment by the voltage regulator.
In the third picture you show a air box for a Coupe or Sedan manufactured after April 1971.  It has the scoop on the front miles is speaking of that has the Summer/Winter leaver and will attach to the fan housing you currently have on your engine.
I have a Sedan for both Before and after  April 1971 I can take pictures of to show you what I am talking about.
But that will have to be tomorrow.

Thanks for the help Bill. I've been trying to find pictures of under the hood for a few weeks now to get an idea of how things are supposed to be routed. The previous owner had a mechanic work on this and the mechanic had no idea what he was doing with this car. This is why the coil is relocated, etc.
I would love to get my hands on a pre-april 1971 airbox and fan assembly if you know of where to find them.
I look forward to the pictures to help me along. The bigger and more detailed the better. Feel free to just email them to me instead of the group as to not annoy everyone with large pictures in their inbox.
