Blue Red Sedan

A couple pointers about the blue & red interiored sedan on eBay. Be
aware that the early sedans like this one have no synchros in the
transmission. It is easy to detect an early non synch car because of
the chrome strip is not on the sides of the car.
This car shows 95,000 on the odometer, if is truly an unmolested
natural state car it won't last much longer as 95,000 is quite alot for
an unrestored car to have on it. I did have one customer who had over
118,000 on her original crankshaft with oil changes more often than
required. The body looks nice, but why does it have the later aluminum
license plate on it? it should have original blue & yellow steel
plates.
There's no photos of the engine compartment nor the subframe suspension
areas. The tail lights are faded and possibly the reverse lenses look
crazed. The rear window gasket has shrunken and you can see a big gap
where the seam in the rubber would have been. It appears as the left &
right rear marker lamps have been reversed as the drain holes are now
facing up. The chrome on front and back windshields has shrunken and
has gaps. The carpets are worn but would be easy to have new ones made.
The plastic of the rear side pocket is cracked at the top, how's the
other side?
If a person was interested in this car, I would request photos of the
steering wheel & dashboard, engine compartment, inside trunk area, the
muffler area, does it have the original owner's manual? etc. It looks
like the auction ended a couple hours ago. Welp, that was my opinion on
it anyway.

You should read the earlier posts. I went and looked at the car and
bought it on the spot. Shrunken window rubber? That comes out anyway
if you are doing a good restoration. There is absolutely no rust in
the entire body whatsoever. No oil leakes and I had it up to 90 mph.
It has NEVER been hit except a small ding in the rear bumper. Going
to do a ground up restoration on it, and it's always better to pay a
little more for and excellent body.
