I am getting ready to start the rebuild process on my wrecked 1970
Honda AN600. It took a right front blow and the engine will no longer
turn over. Any suggestions on WHERE TO start on this rebuild? I am
guessing that a new wiring harness should be put in, I think the old
one was fried after the collision. (I SURVIVED THANK GOD)
After that and maybe rebuilding the starter, I will be at a loss. Let
me know if there are any suggestions. Anyone else get into an accident
in one of these bad boys before...and live to talk about it?

The black/yellow striped wire that goes to the top of the starter
solenoid probably broke or popped off. There is a sub harness that goes
to all the charging stuff, no such thing as *new*, just repair yours.
If it's wrecked really bad I like to hook a heavy chain about 20 feet
long to the area of impact, then wrap it around a large tree towards
the base, bolt the chain together. Un-create the accident by backing up
at about 5 mph several times until the body is straighter. Then get a
small kit called a Porta-Power and jack the rest of the damage out.
The idea with the chain is it's to be left slack and when you back up
it snaps creating the force you need. - Warning - remember in American
Grafitti? where they hooked a chain to the cop car's rear end? Yea,
well, slow down a bit !
