Fw: [2cylinderhondas] Drivers Update

Post by James Hawkins »

Update.
 Guess I finally did something right.  I didn't have any parts left over and finally got the carb back on.  The little darling fired right up and would rev up and would idle without a problem.
Didn't go for a drive as I was out of wind and oxygen level real low.  No one to check on me if I got out and Murphy, [my old buddy] wanted to play games with me.  But I think now I'll be back driving regularly.

Jim;
Sounds great, get winded and go for a run.  Nothing like it on the road.

Hey Jim/James --- it's nice to know that one of these are running again... gives me hope. Was it just a matter of pulling everything apart and cleaning up the carb with carb cleaner, or did you have to replace things?
You know... going for that drive with the windows open will get you plenty of oxygen. Congrats.

Don,  I just took it all apart and cleaned it real good.  Stick the straw in all the little holes and spray while wearing goggles.  Don't know how I hot cataracts with as much cleaner I have gotten in them over the years.  Drug main st. yesterday and it ran good  Fun little car to drive.
      Would be great if oxygen worked that way but for me it takes oxygen by way of a nose hose and o2 tank along with some rest.
