WOW, great PICS, thanks!
Looked like a nice 600 turnout!
Who in their right mind would cruise around in a souped up Dodge Colt?

For all who could not attend;d
The event was ok, but could have been organized much better.  The day was great, not to hot and lots of Honda 600 people ready to talk car stuff.   Parking was on grass which is a real plus, keeps the show about 10 degrees cooler.  Some issues were very evident right from the start;
G roups of car makes were jammed together making it hard to even walk between them while other areas were vacant.  Owners with their cars that arrived first seemed to put their cars where they wanted to and in an arrangement unlike the rest.   Some cars were grouped so close you couldn't open a door without touching the car next to you.
Also, the people running the event said there was day of event registration and they collected full fees but didn't include these vehicles in the judging.
If they were it wasn't evident, as no indication was given as to if the car was judged, a sticker or something.
Final note, would I attend again, YES.  If we don't give constructive criticism things will never get better.  Now I have to find an ear to bend.

Thanks for the link to the great pics! Nice yellow Civic CVCC, perhaps a 1977? My 2nd Honda was a yellow 1977 Civic 1200, with the luggage rack as seen on the CVCC in your pics. 1st Honda was a 1972 Z600 Coupe, blue like the one in the pics, too (sans "racing" stripes)! Very cool!

Thanks for the compliment! That's my blue coupe with the racing stripes. But I didn't take those pictures, I just posted the link that Dan sent me.

Here is another one:
The 600's are on pages 7-8, and 9

Just curious... does anyone know anything about the green Z600? Is that thing lowered or is it just me, and how (cut springs/one less leaf, custom, etc.)?
The paint scheme on Kathleen's blue one is cool, and that green one has a cool stance and nice interior.

IIRC, the car belongs to Michael Bloom.  He does the LA area shows, so ask him at the next one.
Two ways to lower the Coupe suspension.  One is to cut coils, as mentioned in the Jan 72 Motor Trend magazine.  The other, is to use the shorter struts from a Sedan.  Don't forget the spacer blocks between the leaf springs and rear axle.
I've got a Coupe that was lowered by Miles Chappell, and although it hasn't been driven in a while, the 'improvements' really help the steering.

Hi Bruce;
    I lowered a couple of Coupes, and straightened out another that was botched.  The best way is to have a Coupe strut spring shortened by at spring shop, just cutting them leaves a rough edge and causes them to feel like they are jumping at even the smallest bump.   Blocks on the axel is also the best way to lower.
I never tried the sedan struts on a Coupe, the geometry is different on the front end and I didn't want to spend the time and money to figure it out.
    If you want to go the other way, Coupe springs on a Sedan will lift the front very well and use the blocks in the back to do the opposite of lowering.
    And, 1/4 inch spacers on the rear with a 5 inch wide rim will help with handling.  But with the original rims, the 1/4 inch spacers do just the opposite, making the rear end feel really loose.
    Regardless of which way you want to go, remember to look at the safety aspect.  Use hardened bolts and hardware made for the use your giving it.  Spring shops have been doing this for a long time and can offer some really great (and cheap) tips on keeping your suspension tweaked right.
