Battery ground cable

Who knows where the battery ground cable was grounded from the factory??

I think under the core support and the coil.

The stock Honda ground cables had a bracket which attached at the bolt holding the ignition coil.  You can buy battery cables which have the accessory wire and run this to the same location of the body.  On the engine,  I used to always see them attached at the center of the camshaft housing in the front....it is a bolt  which requires a 10mm socket and is the level below where the valve cover resides.

Thanks. I guess the bracket is gone .I would love to see what it looks like so I can make one. Is it still helpful to ground the chassis as well as the engine? I dropped one of my other cars engine yesterday  was looking for a ground strap but never saw one.

Thank you. Mine was grounded on the cooling shroud. Yea the one with the rubber insulator. What are people thinking.

Yep,  they didn't think about it.  They had all the current (including the 150+ amp starter current) flowing through an 8mm steel bolt.  It would be better to have the ground cable attached to the aluminum engine block.  It is also important to have a good ground connection at the ignition coil.  It can be a heavy gauge wire from the engine block or the negative terminal of the battery to the ignition coil metal frame which is bolted to the body .
