Sorry.....my last message got sent prematurely.
I just wanted to thank Tim Mings and Bill Colford for answering some of the questions I had (they've probably answered the same questions 100's of times before, but were gracious enough to answer them again for me).
Anyway, like I said....I will have a lot more questions as I dig deeper into both cars and look forward to reading all of treh previous posts (I've read the past 2 years worth already).

I envy you, Mike. And I wish you all the best with your new Hondas. Very cool to hear your story (both the history of seeking out a 600, and now having 2 of 'em)! You probably won't hear much from me on this site. I've owned 4 Civic hatchbacks ('77, '85, '91, and now own a 2000 CX), but I REALLY MISS the '72 z600 Coupe I owned from '78 to '79. BY FAR the most fun automobile I've EVER driven/owned! This group continually allows me to re-live that time period. And who knows.. maybe someday I will again seek out, find, and own a Z or N600! All the best, and welcome to the group!

Thanks Woody. I haven't had the time or money to tinker with them a whole lot lately. I plan on installing the cleaned out gas tank this weekend and getting the fuel system finished up so it will run on it's own and not through an auxiliary gas tank.
I really have wanted a 600 sedan for a long time......I failed to mention this last time, but I actually did own one for about an hour back in 1993 or so. I found a guy in Tucson with one for sale for $300 (I think) and my dad and I drove all night from Denver with a tow bar to haul it back with. We paid for it and hooked the car up and were on the road again. We barely got a couple of miles away when we stopped to check the bar to make sure everything was tight. We noticed that the once pristine & straight as an arrow front bumper was pretty tweaked. I had my dad drive around in a circle to see what was going on and that's when I saw that every time we turned the bumper would flex! Figuring it would not make the long trip back home we went back to this guys house (it was 2 in the morning by then) and asked for a refund. Surprisingly enough he took it back. I did give him $50 for the messed up bumper though. I was soooo close, but in the end we had to leave it behind. I have never even thought about using a tow bar since! :)
Not having driven a 600 more than up and down the block 15 years ago, my favorite Honda has to be my '79 1200 Civic (the most fun car is the '59 Bugeye I currently drive). I beat the heck out of that thing and it kept coming back for more. I've owned 6 Civics.....two '78 1200's, a '79 1200, an '82 wagon, an '89 hatchback and an '04 coupe. I came oh so close to buying a new '91 Si in Tahitian Green Pearl.....I love that color! I wound up buying a Fiero instead and that morphed into 20 years worth of Fiero collecting (I've owned around 55 or so). I always wonder if I did get that 600 sedan from Tucson how many I would have owned and if I would be a 600 expert instead of a Fiero one.
Anyway, I hope that one day a 600 finds it's way into your garage again. There's a '71 Z coupe for sale here in Denver (cheap too).....hint, hint. :)
