What oil do you guys suggest using in our cars?
I went to Napa today and asked what they would suggest, and they weren't exactly sure.
They finally decided on some 5-20 synthetic motorcycle oil, because of the wet clutch additive, and since the trans and motor share the same oil. Is that the best option, or should I look for a different option.
Also how many quarts of oil does the engine need?

First, there is no wet clutch, it's dry. They guys at NAPA said it, "they are not sure" !.
What you should be running is a good 10W30 for average temperatures. In warm weather, run 20W50.
What NAPA should have said is that you should be running a oil made for engines that have the engine and transmission using the same oil. And there are motorcycle oils that read to that on their labels. However, if you are using your car daily, running highway speeds then you should be looking for something better. Other wise, change it often and use a good 10W30 SAE grade oil.

Also......
I'm of the understanding a "used" engine needs to be "flushed" before switching to a synthetic oil !?
Personally, I run 20w50 - year round (here in the Carolinas) and have used CASTROL in my "HELMET" since the early 80's. 50,000 original miles and still kickin' !
