Head gasket

Post by eric.geiger »

does anyone have a head gasket for sale. i am rebuilding my engine currently and of course would like to install a new head gasket.
also if i can't find a new one what about reusing the old one?? i know its not recommended but when there is no other options what can i do?
it looks to be in good shape just has some oil on it from taking the engine apart.
Thanks

Eric, I have used the Head gasket Bill C. sells. Seems to work just fine. Also nothing wrong with using the old gasket, just give it 3 or 4 coats with "copper coat" first ( let dry between coats) and it will work just fine. I would worry more if it was a water cooled engine.

Eric
There are several on German eBay and they should be the same as the F12 if you are using the original F800 engine.
I will check with Kurt Sozen in the UK as I purchased a complete gasket set from him.
