fan hub bearings.

I need to replace my fan hub bearings...there are 2 of them..does anyone have a modern part number interchange for those bearing..I'd like to go with Timken

The hard part is getting them out of the fan housing w/o breaking the fan housing. If you do it according to the manual you will bust the center out of the fan housing. You can also replace the pulley bearings and all 4 are the same bearing.
I made a puller to extract the pulley bearings but you could do the same with muffler tubing section and stacking washers to make the pull.
The bearing is a standard 6201 as shown in the parts book. Some parts stores drop the 6 so it's just a 201 1RS bearing, that's sealed 1 side, rubber seal.
The foolproof way to get the fan apart is to lay it on the ground with pulley up and use a center punch and tap tap tap til the serrated pulley comes off.

thanks for the info. I made a puller to do the tensioner, and idler pulley and replaced those today...what is the best way to remove the fan from the engine comoartment?. Looks like the carb may. May have to be removed
