N600 - fuel tank pick-up clogged-how to clean?

Post by Erik »

Well today has been a great day, got a lot done.
I haven't been able to get fuel to the carb. Fuel pump bench tested fine.
Disconnected 3 inch rubber fuel line between fuel tank and fuel line-blew
air through fuel line from tank to engine. It's clear and clean=good
Try to blow air backwards into fuel tank where fuel normally exits tank=air
won't go in. Complete blockage. I doubt there's a one-way valve there, is
there?
Removed fuel tank and removed fuel-level sensor. It was locked in
position. No it's clean and moves easily. Still can't get air to go into
fuel tank through exit line.
What to do now? Higher pressure air.....(always use a bigger hammer method)
If the fuel pick-up has garbage like the fuel-level sensor, it's probably
pretty blocked.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Erik in Los Angeles

I'm in need of the plastic cap with the fuel stem coming out of it.
Thanks
