I am not clear on what your threading your new brake line into.  But, as already stated, all threads are metric on the Honda. And as Larry said, don't try and tighten it as there will be (Hell) to pay trying to thread in a metric end later.
The Hex end of the fitting is for a 10mm wrench, but the thread diameter is 8mm, 1.0 thread pitch if memory serves me correctly as I don't have one sitting with me as I answer this e-mail at 3 am.  You should have the one you removed to use as a comparing item when you go to the parts store. But if you told the parts guy at the store what it was for when you purchased the first one, and he sold you a SAE then I'd look for another parts guy.

I am replacing the longest line to the back because it is plugged with dried brake fluid, so I am threading the lines into the MC and the porportioning valve near the rear axle.  I guess a few turns is not enough to know if the threads are truly compatible.  I thought I grabbed lines from a box that said "metric", but I just looked and the label on the actual lines says nothing about the threading.  I will go to NAPA tomorrow and make sure I get the right ones.  I only tightened the MC end finger tight (and got a nice brake fluid puddle on my garage floor overnight), but I did use a wrench on the porportioning valve so I may need to steal the one from my other 600.
Thanks again for the help.  I plan to get to the DMV this week and register this car so I can start driving it instead of just lying under it.
