I have used both, and finally found that the chrome pull for the bath room
sink drain plug looked and worked the best. The one I used had a chrome
knob at the top, is made of brass and chromed. I drilled a hole in it about
a 1/2 inch on the inside of the gas filler tube area and fitted a spring
over the end and pushed the end through the hole on the shaft. I think it
was a buck or two at Home Depot.
