Not really, it was the first version of the Honda 600 before it came to the
USA. Remember, the first Honda 600 for the USA had chassis number N600
1013055. So yes there were earlier Honda 600's about 13054 of them. And all
of these were sold outside of the USA. And most didn't stay in Japan. The
dual exhaust system your looking at came with an angle port head, larger
carb and they came on the Hawaiian cars which ended with chassis number N600
1018285. And some of these cars were delivered to England, Australia and
Europe (I have chassis numbers to) All of these cars had the 42 to 45 hp
engines in them. All the cars sent to CONUS (Continental USA) have the
detuned version at 36 hp. That was the secret to the numbering system Honda
had, all the Sedan Chassis started with the same number, but the engine
numbers told how many came into each country as every country USA included,
had their own unique EPA issues or the lack of.
So, that was the short version of the "Y" exhaust. The long version goes
into much more detail.

Hi John;
Your book doesn't have the optional heat exchanger for the "Y" exhaust. If you send me your e-mail address I will send you pages from the other parts manual.
