Coupe Hood bumpers

Ok,
    I am needing some original Hood bumpers for my Coupe. The cost of putting a Die to make them is going to be up there along with the price of product to make them.
    Each Coupe only needs about 6 inches of the stuff.   So each set has to be way up there for me to see the cost come back.
    What I need to know is how many Coupe owners out there are interested in getting a set. If I have a good figure then a price can be set.   I have some originals, but they are falling apart when I take them from the package. 30 years is a long time for rubber even on the shelf.

I am looking to do the same for the sedan, just a different die. If there are owners out there that are looking to get these, send your name along. But because the originals were solid they seem to have done better on the shelf.

what do you think a set will go for?
What sort of raw material do you start with?
Where does it come from?
mine certainly need replacing.

Hi Steven;
It's a compound that is mixed at a rubber factory and shipped to the shop I purchase from. The bumper is made to collapse around the hood edge holding it in place. The original stuff lasted for about 10 years. But the one's coming off the 30 year shelf are good for the first month and crumble.
I am trying to keep them to $10.00 or less a set. But that would mean I would have to see 150 sets leave to capture the price of the die alone. I just don't think there are that many Coupes in restoration.

What would you guys think about a set made from urethane or some other "soft"compound? I have a friend who does CNC in his garage (dont ask!) and could "mill" them from something like this..... He would just need a good original part and could make them by the dozens.
What do you guys think?
