I am looking for gaskets for my 72 honda 600, I have looked and havent had any luck,
any info would be great..
Also have you heard of anyone doing a motor swap for a newer motot in the old hondas
the mini cooper can fit a v-tec dohc honda motor in it but the sadan model is the same size car but I cant seem to find any info on swaps

Hi Ryan,
You can fit drivetrains from other vehicles in the 600 but it's a bit of work. You may want to consider just freshening up the engine/tranny that you have. My engine was rebuilt by the previous owner. I had to take the top-end apart and replace the gaskets and fix the stripped bolt holes. I also recently cleaned up the exhaust system. All of this has done wonders for the car. It is now a smooth running vehicle that I drive everywhere. My next adventure is to rebuild the carb and replace the regulator with a solid-state device. I believe that once I get the carb rebuilt it's gonna run even better than it does now. I couldn't have gotten this far without a lot of help and parts from the guy that runs this group, Miles Chappel.
One more thing. I love to tell people that the car runs on a 600cc 2-cylinder motocycle engine. People love to hear that, and see it under the hood.

Any sort of motor swap like that will require pretty extensive fabrication. � There are no kits.� If you want to tackle it,� you may have better luck fitting a D16 vs. a B16, etc.� H22 or K series are just not going to fit--H22 being too big and heavy and the K series being too tall.� The D/B may also be too tall.
Other issues are axles--you'll have to custom make them, and I think you'll find that you'll have a hard time with the outer CVs being able to take the load.� An interesting alternative may be to put a sport bike motor and a rear-end off of a ATV.� No reverse, but may be a good way to go.� Not sure what ATV rear end would work, but you may be able to find one that uses roughly the same axles.� Prop shaft would have to be custom, or a chain driven.
If you do decide to hack something up, try to do it to a basket case car, vs. a restorable one.� I think it would be cool to do a swap like that, but I could never live with myself if it was a nice restorable/original car.

there would be no way I would try the swap on my baby lol
I was going to pick one up that I saw that was pretty messed up but
I just wanted to try it...
as for my coupe I just need to find someone that sells the top end
of the motor gaskets..
