roof top joints

Does any one know if there is new joint ribbing available to replace the stuff on the roof? Has any one done it? (some one bondoed the joint over and now I have had to remove the bondo as it was cracking off.) thank for any help. dean

I feel bad about digging up these old posts...
Anyway, my Z600 had the rooflines filled in. I have seen a few Z600s with the rooflines rusted out pretty bad. Thoughts on keeping it "shaved" or go dig out the bondo and then try to source the rubber-stripping and chrome end caps? I think I read somewhere (from like 7 years back...) that Bill could get a hold of some of the rubber stripping and chrome caps (from MSG# 111).

hi this is dean. i have dug up the bondo out my joints as water had gotten under the bondo. one word of caution that when you get to were the crome tips should be there is RAISED areas that the tips mount on. work around them and the mounting of the tips will be easer. good luck if you deside to do it. dean

Hey Dean-- what did you use to dig out the bondo? You have pics of your work? That's a shame that water got under the filler. I'll be kicking myself if I go bondo-digging and dig myself a hole in my roof b/c it's been all rusted out. ;)
Going to make the Z600 run first, but I'll learn anything and everything I can from everyone else's hard knocks. Thanks!
