richness screw

Post by deantds2 »

hi. when my honda az600 runs its great. it needs no choke and very little pedal but when it stalls its flooded. some one rebuild the carb at some time and the little richness screw 'needle' was almost totaly un screwed. if i screw it in all the way how many turns should it be unscrewed to be set in a starting position to set it right. thanks dean

Dean;
rule of thumb, 1.5 turns and adjust for good idle going to the throttle
stop screw and back to the idle screw (you referred to as the mixture
screw). Until the engine idles at 1150 rpm.
