Free Honda 600 sedans near Sacramento

Post by kuranhonda »

Everyone,
I received on email on my website from a person who has 2 Honda 600 sedans that came with a reposessed house, and he would rather give them to someone who can use them instead of taking them to the junkyard. Here is his email - please just contact him directly if you are interested. I did not transfer the pictures, but these are in reasonable condition and worth picking up - definitely shouldn't go to the junkyard, but its a long drive for me from Michigan...
His email address is ztire2000@...
Thanks Ray http://www.honda600source.com
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP JBUT I AM TRYING TO REMOVE 2 N600 HONDA'S FROM A BANK REPO'D HOME NEITHER CAR HAS BEEN REGISTERED SINCE 1983, BODIES ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE NO DENTS OR RUST, 1 HAS AN ENGINE. I AM WILLING TO LET SOMEONE TAKE THEM FOR FREE OR I WILL TAKE THEM TO A SCRAP YARD . BUT I THINK THAT WOULD BE A WASTE OF THE TWO VEHICLES. HOPE YOU CAN HELP. PICS ATTACHED

Sorry I left the location out of the body of the message - they are near Sacramento CA according to his second message to me - in a town called Olivehurst. I assume that the email link works - but just in case the end of his email address is yahoo.com

anyone have any luck with a response from this guy??
I have emailed him, but didn't get any responses back at all.
I am in the same area and would love to scoop these guys up, but I don't want to harass the guy if he's already gotten rid of them.
don't know if someone else got more details or has a better way of contacting him.
lemme know either direct or through the group.
thanks!

If the body/ies is complete (our you could at least, compile one out of the two) that's kinda what I'm looking for.
Need a rolling chassis to start a project.
Can't bring myself to tear down my original condition runner for a slice-and-dice fab job.
can you forward me the guy's info.
I'll get a come-along and a trailer and get them home one way or another.

Gas tank help

Post by Kevin Gailey »

First of all thanks to everyone for all the help in given me in the last 4 months.  Just needs some bodywork and paint for my coupe to be nice.
Now I have a gas tank problem...
I cleaned and lined my buddies tank for his N600, but did not check to see if it flowed out the fuel outlet before I installed it.  It does not flow at all. What do you do in this case? Compressed air did nothing.  Have a tank shop cut and refit?  Has anyone had this problem?  I am stuck right now and very frustrated!  Uhggggggg!  Again, it is relined and clogged, I know I am a dumbass for not checking, but hindsight in 20/20 Thanks, Kevin Gailey From:

Re: Gas tank help

Post by friend »

Kevin;
Miles gave me a suggestion a long, long, long time ago.  He said an old speedometer cable chucked in a drill and fed down the fuel tube on the gas thank will open it.  Well it worked like a charm.  Just a note, clean the cable before using it.  And, you don't have to pull it (the cable end) apart just the cut end will be enough to bore through the sealer.
And, when using tank sealer, read the directions, and follow them to the letter.  Cutting a corner will c ause you problems in the end.   Like the plugged take up tube, I reread the instructions and it said to run a wire down the tube to remove any obstructions.   After it dried there was no hope with the wire.
