Dale, if we had a new "Minty fresh" set of cylinders we would be all set. The problem with a standard piston is our bores are worn and need to be honed to (0.1mm - 0.2mm) over size.
Mike O'Connor's is the only one with O/S pistons as far as I know.
$300 seems high for a complete set, but if they are forged custom made and high quality, then they are worth it.
Are Mikes pistons higher compression?

The eBay ad was for one piston only. Had it been for two, that would have been a better deal for most persons with a 600. I used to get my 600 cylinders resleeved when the bore was too worn or damaged and then I was back to standard size. I am not sure about Mike's pistons or any other pistons since I am still doing ok for new pistons.
I was looking at the article by J & J Performance and noticed it did not mention anything about the camshaft.
About 20 years ago I acquired an engine which I always assumed was a J & J arrangement since the pistons looked just like the one in the picture and it came with a special camshaft and the valve lash caps. The engine had one damaged piston and so I had a combination of parts which wasn't very useful since, at the time, no one was selling the higher compression pistons. I'll have to dig out that camshaft and figure out the cam angles.
