new to the group got a coupe and have it tore to hell the motor has a stuck valve and I have to pull the head off has anyone milled there head any or ported the heads with any noticable affect ive always worked on v8 and volks but nothing with 36hp Of couse I havnt driven the car yet does tire size make a huge difference on the driveability of these cars?

I cant help you on that but I am sure some one here will ring in on that.  Also Brian and Blain Higginson at B and B auto in Washougal has worked on these cars for a long time.  They rebuilt my motor a few years ago. PH is 1 XXX-XXX-XXXX for there toll free and 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX.  If you ever make it to the Oregon north coast ( Seaside area) look me up and we can talk honda 600.  There is so much information here that some one will be able to help you with whatever problem you may have.

First off, I would be careful on milling the head do to compression ratio and the fact its air cooled. It already is a fairly high compression engine. Plus milling the head effects the cam timing.. Porting is ok,but I would wait to hear from someone who has done it and flow tested their work. I have done some clean up porting and it seemed to help a little. As far as tire size, they do greatly affect the performance. You will find out when you drive one, that an extra passenger greatly affects performance. But as these little cars go, they do run surprisingly good.Honda did a great job getting some performance out of these little engines,not saying that you cant get more out of them,but you have to be careful on modifications you choose to do.

i was thinking about that cam chain and cutting the head I have a flow bench available but wasnt sure it was worth the timeto get to carried away besides i only have one head
