I was installing my engine sheet metal fan shroud covers on the side of the cylinder head. They have large holes to allow the spark plug boots and a plug socket to get to the plugs.
My question is did they have a grommet in the holes?
Or was the stock boot large enough to fit the hole?
Thanks

Spark Plug boot grommet?
Re: Spark Plug boot grommet?
As I remember, there were no boots filling the holes,it was a little open around the plug connector.

Re: Spark Plug boot grommet?
Lyle;
Go to page 57 or 58 of the Sedan Owners manual and it shows a sparkplug and pages 58 and 59 of the coupe Owners manual.

Re: Spark Plug boot grommet?
Yea Lyle, I am used to VWs that have Grommets/seals,but the VWs have the fan blowing air through, so they need to be sealed. The Honda is drawing the air through, so not important to seal them.

Look at the pictures of one of my coils and sparkplug boots.
It has a large boot.
Maybe from a VW?
