Freshly power washed, now squeaky clean motorcycle engined Honda 600. Prepping for actual road use, not just a lot trophy !

Wow - and if the brakes fail, you could always jam your foot onto the sprocket to slow down, Mark! ;-)
I find it fascinating the things that some folks will do to old, rare, classic cars. The purists among us, no doubt, would be aghast at seeing modifications on this scale - they insist that old, rare cars like this should be kept as close to original configuration as possible.

Some 600 purists may argue this is what Honda should have built....haha ! just kidding
I see it as, for a car that sat 30 years under a briar patch, any new life is better than the crusher.....
BTW, B and B Automotive in Washougal Wa. have at least 30-40 Honda 600 derelict cars just like this ......that deserve saving ( Hint-Hint )

I agree, its your car, its better running than not. I’m hoping you make a solid cover to avoid a scene… Haha. Then it would really become some form of a monster car.

Mark is a great guy and definitely cares about preserving these cars. He's the one who first got my Z600 running after sitting for 30 years un touched. Ive since rebuilt the top end due to some cooling fan bolt hole issues from the original owner.
B&B does have a lot of cars just laying around rotting into the weeds from the video i saw, which is a shame. id like to consider myself somewhat of a purist but id also rather not see these precious gems rot away.

Richard,
The new bike engine is rated at 88 hp @ some ridiculously high RPM. It is 600cc sport bike trim. I picked this one not because it had the MOST horsepower but, it is said this particular 600 bike engine is to have the most torque from 3000-9000 rpm.
The torque is what I wanted. 50 ft. lbs or so. The stock Honda 2 cylinder has 45 ft lbs. and 37 hp @ about 4000. where it then falls off
We will see.
