If you peel back the bottom seat cushion where it meets the back rest on the rear seat there's a bolt. I can't remember if there's just 1 or more that one but once you pull the bolt(s) the rear seat bottom cushion will pull up and out.

Re: removing back seat to get at fuel filter
Bob,i am still trying to get mine lifted up and off/out.At the front of the seat are two U shaped hooks that are made out of a long rod of metal(they are part of the underside of the actual seat). They fit into a slightly rectangular "hole".This is also at the front of the seat(where your legs bend at the knees if you were sitting back there). But on the actual metal body of the car where it comes up to the front of the seat.About 2-3 inches from each side of the car on the inside.Well...takes some muscle to push those u shaped hooks out of the holes.Push seat back and up,or one side at a time.Walla! There you have it.Have seen the underside of my seat to get to the fuel pump and filter. My seller sent me a pic.Unfortunately i have not mustarded enough OOMPH! to do it mself.Hope this helps and wish me luck.

Re: removing back seat to get at fuel filter
you're doing it wrong
i just posted about removing the rear seat like 5 days ago for another member. if you peel back where the bottom cushion meets the upright back cushion you will see a bolt that holds the bottom seat fusion in place remove this bolt (there may be 2 total one on each side, driver/pass) and the entire seat will lift up and hinge forward letting you pull the entire seat from the body of the car and remove the entire rear seat bottom cushion. i have photos of my seat removed laurie, ill email them to you hopefully it will help.
theres no need to be prying your rear seat out, it really pops right out once you pull the bolt where the 2 sections meet up.

Re: removing back seat to get at fuel filter
Thank you. I did get the seat out! Had to, no other way to get at fuel pump. There is a small bolt in the back. Even after removing, the seat was a bear to get out and got bent somewhat. Easy enough to bend back into shape, but do not want to do that over and over! I purposely bent the hooks back a bit to make the next removal easier. Upon replacing seat, the tab which the bolt goes through had flipped down and could not.be reach, so I left the bolt out!
