Bummed!

Just found out the 71 sedan i just bought has a coupe engine in it, so my refrib. project has take and unexpected turn. And there is a number of unexpected modifications; after market fuel pump, coil mounts, some electric issue. All removed part are for a sedan; heater blower, shrouds. Not sure where to go from here. Runs, needs a head gasket, but afraid to change it may not run again when i start pulling things apart. Should I part it out (the engine) and start looking for another. Or run with it and continue with the modifcations. Both are going to be a lot more money!!!!!!!! Fustrated!!!!!!!
