Honda Z600 Brake Master Cylinder

Does anyone know if any other brake master cylinder will work from a
different model car? trying to cross reference this part or to buy a
new on is like $300. I have a 1972 Honad Z600.

No other master cly is a bolt on. 300 is what I paid for a nos one..you have to grin and bear it

The previous owner of my N600 installed what looks like a modern Honda Civic master cylinder – see photo.
Does not fit well – reservoir lid does not close because of body interference.
Also – cannot use the booster.
I plan to remove and install proper unit….

Just find a used one and send it to White Post restorations -
www.whitepost.com they will send it back ready
to install and they have a life of ownership warrantee.

T he bore is brass sleeved and the last one I did was a while back. So prices could have gone up. $200.00 + shipping.

I just pulled this one from a 1972 coupe that I am parting out. The brake system was fully operational when removed about a month ago.
