generator wire identification

Post by mterrens »

There is a bundle of four wires, which emerge from the front of the engine, near the bottom-left corner. According to the "Honda Coupe Shop Manual", page 162, they are associated with the Generator. Three of the wires are identical - all white, all with the same style connector. My question is: are they interchangeable?

Steve; Go take a look at message post #194 on the Yahoo site, it looks like Bill Colford gives the answer to that. I'll try to re-paste it here. Note that he diffentiates between the three identical White wires and the "white with a black stipe" ... Hope this helps.

There is no order, and any can plug into any of the others. But before you
start plugging in wires, did you check for a short on the stator?
