for those who don't know:
the haflinger is an austrian light military vehicle. mine was originally olive drab. it has 2 cylinders, 600cc and is air cooled. the engine resembles 1/2 a volkswagen engine.
it has 5 speeds with first being ultra low. it has 4 wheel drive with locking front and rear axles--all of which can be shifted on the fly.. it weighs about 1200lbs and is small enough to fit in the bed of my toyota tundra and still get the tailgate 1/2 way up. (about 9 feet long overall) wheelbase is 1500mm. it is rated to carry more than its own weight.
mine is a 1971 in pickup configuration with fold away seats in the rear.. the top is only good as a pattern , first gear won't go all the way engaged, but i have a gear and shift forks with the car. it runs and i drive it around the yard .what else? : 12" tires, 40mph, 45 approach angle, bugeye headlights, some surface rust,, needs paint,needs tires for more general info, check google under steyr puch haflinger
