easiest way to remove transaxel and engine together?

Hi all,
The '72 Z is at the body shop with the fenders, doors, hood, snorkel
mask and all emblems removed. The body guy is yelling for me to
clean out the engine bay so that he can prep it as well. The
question is, can I pull the entire engine and trans axel at one
time. I have to go through the engine before I remount it in the
body. As stated before I have 85% of an engine and will be custom
doing some of the things..( I like the thread about the modified Moto
carbs, would like to see more of that type). Any way, would like to
know of any luck or hints that any one has had.

Here is the manual on removing the power unit and subframe, as one unit.
RIght click on this link and choose "save target as" to save the file to
your computer. Then print it out and go for it.

PS: I have found that using an engine hoist to lower the power unit down
from the body is the easiest / safest method. I use chains down to the four
corners of the subframe. Using a single jack to lower the engine is no fun
(ask me how I know).
