Looking for a good Honda 600

Please, am hunting for a fairly rust free Honda 600 body (or two), and
it could be a sedan or coupe. The engine is not important because I
have several that I have taken out of cars that the body was way too
rusty to fix up. I live near Kansas City MO, and would like to find
something close, but would travel up to 250 or 300 miles, (if my
wife's in a good mood that day, since she would probably be going with
me). I have a trailer to haul with and I'm not concerned if the Honda
runs or not, just not having much rust would be a real plus. I can be

I saw this in a wrecking yard in Sandwich, IL. It's not rusty, but it's been repainted. Both doors are dented, the rear window's missing, and the engine's been disassembled. The interior looks pretty good. I wanted parts, but I'd feel better if someone got the whole car. Yingling Auto Salvage, XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Kenneth, thanks for the note and the pic's - that looks like exactly what I'm hunting
for, but it looks to be about 500 miles - I'd rather not go that far for one car, but I'll
keep it it mind and call you for more details, probably, just in case I'm going that

OK, I know how that is, I see stuff in your area on
Autotrader occasionally, it's just a little too far
for me, too.
The owner of the yard wasn't around when I was
there, so I didn't get a price, but an employee said
it would be cheap, whatever that is. My guess would be
around $250.

Ken, I'll definitely keep it in mind, and might get back with you - sometimes I do
travel on short notice, but right now I don't think so on this - sure wish it was

Ray, believe it or not, I first heard your name about 10 years ago at a car show in Plattsburgh where a fellow had a honda 600 turned into a little roadster and he said you built it, very nice work. Anyways, I live down not to far from Joplin, Mo. and will be traveling to Southeast Ks. this weekend to check out a tip on some honda 600's, 10 to be excact. 7 coupes, 2 sedans, and a sedan converted into a truck.I have a gentleman who wants to go in together to get them, and he already has 8 coupes. I'll check with him and take some pictures and we'll see what we can find unless it is to far for you.

Ray, nothing on the honda's yet, started to go look at them, and shelled a u-joint, so didn't get that far, not Hugh, but is related, his name is Darryl Henegar, in Liberal.
