Hi all,
I have the 1970 N600 that was built by Tony Weston. It has a Datsun
1500 motor, 4 speed transmission and rear drive using suspension and
drivetrain from a Datsun B210. The engine is a 1500 block with a
ported and polished 1400 head on it (uses premium and octane booster
or blend in some race gas). Tony said he has a hotter cam in there
too, but I don't know the numbers on it. You have about 100-110 HP
and about 1300 lbs of car.
The car was built as a dedicated autocross car, so it is rough. The
body is in decent shape (moonroof installed, and with
foam/fiberglass fender flares).
It funs on 13" wheels and has fairly new (less than 500 miles)
Falkan tires (they work great).
It has one seat, an ABS plastic thing made for a dune buggy, and a 5
point harness (I do not have the crotch strap currently installed,
though I do have it).
It has a 4 point roll bar, and a fuel cell.
I used the car as a daily driver, going to work across town, for
more than two years, and it always starts up fine.
It is running rich, though I hope to have that taken car of soon.
The clutch master cylinder leaks a little, so it has to be topped up
on occasion. I thought the leak was the slave cylinder, so it has a
new (rebuilt) slave cylinder. The paint is pretty oxidized, but
still has good coverage.
The car used to overheat, so I did some upgrades to the cooling
system. I would love to report that everything is great, but the
temperature gage stopped working the day I rerouted the hoses (long
hoses -- engine in front, radiator in back). The car has not
overheated since, but I still don't know what temp it is running at.
Extras that come with the car:
Extra distributer (set up for electronic ignition, points system is
in the car with new points and condenser)
DCOE 40 manifold (32-36 with manifold currently in the car)
Rear window (currently has smoked lexan on back and sides)
Typical little box of odds and ends
Rock given to me by the local Police Department when my car rolled
back into the street and they pushed it back (no e-brake and I
forgot to leave it in gear)
I have a new in the box DCOE 40 that can be negotiated for
separately.
I bought the car as a toy and a parts getter (my real project car is
my Rabbit). I have recently graduated and it is time to move on and
see about building a house, so my list of projects needs pruning.
The car currently has vanity plates that say "BLIPPY."
The car is a lot of fun, but it is still a project car and should be
purchased accordingly.
I am asking for $1000, no haggling (I am trying to find a new home
for the thing and if it isn't worth $1000 to you, you can't have it).
I would suggest towing/trailering it to where ever it will go
(currently in San Luis Obispo CA 93401). I would feel okay driving
it long distance exept that I don't really know if the cooling
system is up to it, and that ABS seat is a little hard on the
tailbone.

The ISO and the Back view give a general description of the car, the
Grill picture is to show that the front airdam has some damage and to
show some detail of how the front goes together. The grill is
stretched out a little to allow for the motor, the notched area
giving
clearance to the water pump pulley.
