Hi there
i have a 1966 s600 coupe, totally in pieces that i want to restore. no
engine,gearbox. The car was never intoduced in south-africa, must have
been privatly imported. i need an engine and gearbox...is something
like that still available?,otherwise what can i build in?

Is there maybe a workshop manual available,cd or on paper?
will a s800 engine work, could maybe get that from mozambique

Since that is a rear wheel drive car.... you can put
almost anything in it... you can even put a honda
s2000 motor or the old datsun 510 or 1980-1983 nissan
200sx, 1972-1983 toyota corolla 1.6-1.8litre(2TC-3AC)
engine, or toyota 18R,20R,22R,E, All of these motors
and gear box should fit with little modification...
last but not least... 1972-1993 Mazda Rotory Engine.
These motors comes in 2 Flavors... the 12A or the 13B
and they are small and simply made and can fit in
almost anything you can think of. In the early 70's...
these engines were in Mazda R100, RX2, RX3, RX4 and
RX7... Well... good luck with your journey!

Hi there, thanks for the reply...i was away for a while, i'll send you some pics just to show what i am starting. I thought about the rotary, can get one quite cheaply,will see in the coming months what i'll do.. speak to you again
