keyless entry?

keyless entry?

Has anyone installed keyless entry on their sedan?  I'm thinking of doing this but would like to hear if anyone else has done it in the past.

I'm gonna guess that a retrofit keyless entry system is strictly electrical; there would need to be power locks already in place for it to control.   So therefore you'd have to install a power locking mechanism as well.  Just speculating here...

Most kits come with actuators that will pull or push a rod to lock or unlock the door.  They also come with a receiver that receives the radio signal and then activates the actuator.  An example can be seen here:
