stripped screw holes holding carb bowl in place - ideas?

I removed the carb bowl the other day in order to clean it out. It had lots of gunk in it (in the jets, etc) so I'm sure that this was a contributing factor to my gas mileage problems.
When putting the carb bowl back on I noticed that only one of the screws would tighten. The rest kept spinning.
I removed the lock washers on three of the screws and now three of the four screws will tighten, but one is still unable to tighten properly.
I have no desire to fill these holes and then retap them, and I'm certain they don't make heli-coils this small. Does anyone know of a compound that might help? Locktite perhaps?

The screws can be replaced with longer screws. You can put nuts on the other
end in several cases. The only other thing to do is helicoil them.

They make threaded inserts of all sizes, maybe not Heli-coil brand. There are some that are full inserts that screw into a larger tapped hole, but nut 'em if you can, no harm.

Check out the local Body shop supply house, they are coming up with some
really unique stuff recently. Some of it you can put it on the threads and
stick the screw in the hole and just unscrew it after it drys. Good stuff.

The original size of screws for the float bowl are 4mm. Longer
screws probably won't help. The last one I was rebuilding for Joe W.
had stripped bowl threads. At first I was very bummed because the
carb is made of zinc and is not weldable and I had already spent an
hour cleaning and assembling it.
I rethreaded the 4 holes to 5mm and drilled out the bowl then
decided I really hated that repair so I started over with another
carb body.
I have seen all kinds of repairs for stripped bowl threads including
people using wood or sheetmetal screws. HeliCoil makes inserts down
to 2mm in diameter. Here's the 4mm info from the HeliCoil.com
